class descriptions

beginners

Beginner Mat classes are for those new to Pilates or those who would like to review the fundamentals after a break in practicing Pilates. These classes focus on the Pilates fundamentals and technique in a group mat class environment. They are designed to give you an introduction to the basics principles and concepts of Pilates, whilst teaching you the beginner level exercises.

mat classes

Group Mat classes are recommended for those who have no serious injuries, who like the social aspect of a class environment. Suitable for people who have a completed a beginners course or  who are familiar with Pilates. Mat classes use both the Pilates mat, as well as other small apparatus – balls, bands, rings, hand weights and foam rollers – to support AND challenge you.

advanced mat classes

Advanced mat classes increase the challenge even more by incorporating some of the more classical Pilates exercises, functional and standing work, and at a non stop pace. Continual flowing movement is a focus and full body strength and engagement is required for every exercise. This class is not for clients with injuries and previous knowledge and experience is required.

HIP classes

A more dynamic form of Pilates that combines the precision of a normal pilates session with the dynamic energy of a High Intensity Workout. Combining core strength, balance and coordination with an energetic cardio vascular element.

ante natal classes

This Class is suitable from 16 weeks of pregnancy. It is aimed at giving you better body awareness and posture, which can help to alleviate pregnancy-related aches and pains. It will also teach you relaxation and breathing skills which will help you throughout your pregnancy and during the birth. It’s a relaxed fun class and a great opportunity to meet other mums-to-be.

It may be advisable to check with your doctor that you are safe to exercise first.

one-to-one private lessons

Private Lessons are for those who want a session specifically designed for their body.

Private tuition is especially useful:

  • If you are new to Pilates and want to learn the basics quickly
  • When you have a particular injury or condition that needs special consideration or rehabilitation.

All Private Lessons utilise the Pilates Studio Equipment – Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and other small props, which offer both resistance and support, allowing you to achieve much more than you think is possible!

barre classes

A great class for all levels, especially those new to barre workouts. This group class incorporates elements of dance, Pilates, cardio and strength training to create a high energy and dynamic class. Taught to music, Barre classes focus on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic flexibility. It’s a programme geared for everyone – no dance experience required!

studio classes

Small group circuit sessions, normally four to six people supervised by two teachers. Utilising both mat & studio equipment – Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and other small props, which offer both resistance and support, allowing you to achieve much more than you think is possible! Some pilates experience is essential.
